Christmas....a season for PRESENTS!!!

Christmas and the long weekend break had come and gone. We had plenty of family/friends gatherings over the long weekend. Along with it, lots of food, drinks, catching up, fun, laughter and of course PRESENTS!

The gals were ga ga over the loads of gifts that they had received. (Poor Mummy me was also shopping crazily before the weekend, to complete my xmas shopping...which I manage to finish on 23 Dec, only to realise that I missed out a few important people... : P)

This X'mas, we got YQ the TV games (which she's been eyeing for months), YW requested for a Strawberry shortcake school bag which we also got for her complete with colouring book and colour pencils. YX, well no request from her yet, but we got her a baby doll play set which YQ & YW having been enjoying more than YX. On top of these, there were gifts from Aunts and Uncles as well as mummy's friends. Auntie Michelle got YQ & YW Strawberry Shortcake handbags, which the girls love. Auntie Amy also gave a Disney Princess bag, making it a total of 3 handbags (so no fighting there). Auntie Sinyee gave the latest Crayola markers which they have been experimenting with. So, for the girls, Christmas is truly a season for presents

For me, well, I received some lovely gifts too. A handmade ring from Sinyee (very touched by the effort and love the ring!), a drinking glass to add to my collection from Michelle (very touched by the thought too!). More jewellery, brought from India, from Danying (love the exotic feel of it)...and lots more from colleagues and family.

However, not to be too caught up in the materialistic and commercial aspect of X'mas, I also made some donations to various children charity. Hopefully, the little that I have given will help improve the lives of some children so that they too can enjoy x'mas (at some point in time) like my girls do, every year.

Now, to take a short break from all that celebration, then move on to receive 2006 and start the mad rush for Chinese New Year!

Anyhow, here's wishing all a Happy Christmas & a Wonderful Year Ahead!
