Education is expensive!?

Sometime during the week, yq brought home a notice from school informing us that there will be a graduation concert for the school. She told me excitedly that she'll be playing the part of 'the witch' in Snow White & the Seven Dwarf during the concert. Then she dropped the bomb..."teacher say must pay for the costume"...I looked through the consent form and there it was...$40!...to dress up a witch..wonder what fancy costume will that be?!!! Not wanting to dampen her enthusiasm and hopefully, give her some memorable moments from kindergarten to keep, I signed the form and gave yq the money.

I'm thinking to myself... education costs a bomb because basic education is expensive or extra cirriculum is pricey?! Or worse...is the school making money out of these little things....Hmm...Guess we can only pay & treat it as buying experiences for our children...*shrug*

Daddy's Back!

Daddy came back late last night....the girls are thrilled to see him this morning. They had a good time trying out all the new clothes daddy bought for them and the toys too.....

Daddy's Away.......

Daddy has gone to US on business trip for a week. Yuqi & Yuwen are exited that daddy's going to US! but they miss him lots too. In fact yuqi said "I miss daddy so much that I dreamt of him!" How touching yar?! That's whay I said that she's the ultimate daddy's girl.....

While Daddy's away, I'm really busy running errands and all...really appreciate what daddy has been doing for us all this while!

Grandma's at our place too, with a slightly fractured foot that's in cast. Being the darling that she is, yuqi always volunteers to help 'poh poh' when she needs to move around on her wheeled typist chair (make shift wheel chair). Well, with Grandma around, the girls get entertained by her and she by them....which leaves me to stay in the office alittle longer, in peace (at least less guilty). ; )

Daddy's coming back in 2 days. I'm sure the girls will be very happy to see him when they wake up on Saturday....life back to normal!
