It's been awhile since daddy and I went on a trip alone...so we took off last weekend to Bali. We had planned and made arrangement for this trip 2 month ago and stuck to the plan despite the bombing and cancellations from other tourist. It turned out to be a wonderful getaway as tourist level was very low, making it place quiet and relaxing. It was the break both of us needed....
As with any economy that depends on tourism for a livlihood, the people of Bali are suffering from the effects of the recent bombing and my heart really goes out to them. As they say over there,"Bali is crying...". A very sad description for such a beautiful island. Well, I hope things get better for them as tourists' confidence return. It is afterall one of the favourites of the europeans and australians and these are the people with real spending power over there!
I would definitely like to go back again...hopefully in the not too far away future... : )

Yuqi The Witch.......
Remember some months back I wrote about the $40 we paid for a witch costume for Yuqi's school concert? Well, the concert was held on 22 Oct 05. Yuqi had been looking forward to it and had practised very hard for it too. She not only performed the part of the Evil Witch in Snow White and the Seven Dwarf, but also the "liao poh-poh" in Ba Luo Bo (chinese song). She had enjoyed herself tremendously that day and we are all proud of her performance that day! Well Done, Yuqi!!
Back to her costume. It turned out quite nice...cute actually (though still a little expensive to be $40). We got to keep the costume and it's now hanging in her wardrobe...when is she going to wear it again? Not sure. Anyone interested to borrow it, please feel free to ask.. ; )
Look at our very happy little witch!
