Children's Day Outing

Aunt Sinyee, Aunt Michelle & I decided to bring jon, owen and the girls out for a little outing to celebrate Children's Day. I brought all 3 girls with me and was totally drained by the time we got home. The girls had fun though with burgers, fries, ice-cream, lollipops and watching some performance (rehearsals) @ esplanade.

Next time round, I'm definitely going to suggest doing it at someone's home.

Personalized Piggy Bank

I read in a magazine that one of the ways to develope & encourage the habit to save, in young children, is to let the children see the money "grow" in their piggy bank. To do so, we can use transparent containers as piggy banks.

So, for the fun of it, we painted some 1.5L drink bottles for the girls (they tell artist mummy & daddy their preferred picture & we paint for them). After all the fun in painting the bottle, we found that the bottles maybe too big...the girls will need alot of coins before they can feel the money "grow".

Anyhow, idea is there....... : )
