Yu Xuan is off to school.......

3 April...Yuxuan's 1st day of school. Since beginning of this year, she's been telling everyone, "I'm going to school next term!" and the day is finally here! She had been excited, as had her jie jies.

All was well when she put on her uniform, took her breakfast and prepared to leave the house. All was well too when we reached the school, had her temperature taken (routine check due to HFM disease), removed her shoes and bag and sat down to play puzzle with Yuqi in her class. Then.......suddenly, she realised that something's not so right. Mummy & Daddy will be leaving for work and jie jies will be in their own classes. SHE'S GOING TO BE ALONE! and Owen was not there yet. She started to ask to be carried and refused to let go. When it was time for us to leave and handed her over to the teacher, she started to cry her heart out.

On the 2nd day, she didn't want to put on the uniform, though auntie managed to convince her after a while. We went to school as per normal. She took off her shoes and bag and sat down to play puzzle again. But started to ask to go home....And again she cried her heart out when we left. We had to ask auntie to wait for her outside the school for her after class so that she can take the earlier schoolbus home.

On the 3rd day, some more crying but much better. Teacher told us that her crying stopped after 15mins and she was able to join the class for activities. On the 4th day, 5mins of crying and she was able to complain to teacher about a fellow classmate. 5th day, she was happy when she left for the day and was able to repeat some Chinese songs sang in school.

Well, looks like all will be better from next week onwards...I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she doesn't start crying again.... : )
